Guy Helman, Toby Perkins Season 1 Episode 1

Episode 1: The future of apprenticeships

In our launch episode, we dive into the current situation with apprenticeships and vocational training in England after a turbulent two years following the outbreak of Covid-19. We discuss the impact of Covid-19 of apprenticeship uptake, the government’s apprenticeship strategy, the growing skills deficit in the United Kingdom and a workforce in crisis. We are honoured to be joined by Toby Perkins, Labour MP and Shadow Secretary for Skills and Further Education to chat about the potential of apprenticeships to solve some of these issues.
